Celebrate Father's Day with Fun Local Events and Activities!

By Compiled by Stephanie Duhon, Publisher June 15, 2017

Wishing a very Happy Father's Day to all of our Macaroni dads! To celebrate, I've put together some great ways to spend this Father's Day weekend with your families!

Start the weekend off by visiting a local farmer's market! The Rutherford Farmer's Market is open from 7 a.m. to noon on Friday. The Smyrna Farmer's Market opens at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Stop by Barnes and Nobles on Saturday at 11 a.m. for a special Father's Day story time.

For history buffs, spend some time visiting Civil War sites. Locally you can visit the Historic Sam Davis House or Stones River National Battlefield. Or, travel over to Franklin to visit Carter House, The Lotz House, or Carnton Plantation or stop by Rippavilla Plantation in Spring Hill.

For fans of the outdoors, take a family walk or visit one of Middle Tennessee's many other parks. Or enjoy one of the city's Movies Under the Stars!

Or, keep it simple with a fun game day in the backyard with the kids! Play catch, kick the soccer ball around, put the sprinkler on, play a bean bag game, play frisbee or jump in the pool if you have one!

Another fun idea? Have your kiddos fill out this fun questionnaire about dad! Click here for a link to a printable version.
