Tide Loads of Hope "Driving for Hope" is Coming to Nashville

Bring unused or lightly worn clothing to help those in need - Sponsored with TIDE

By Sponsored Content August 15, 2017

In 2010, intense flooding devastated parts of our home state, and Nashville and its residents learned just how quickly Mother Nature can wreak havoc on an area. Five years earlier, Hurricane Katrina pummeled the Gulf Coast, prompting Tide to create Loads of Hope.

A natural disaster, whether it be a hurricane, a tornado, a flood or an earthquake, leaves a mess in its wake. Homes are often damaged or destroyed and people no longer have access to even the most basic of needs, such as clean clothing. Tide Loads of Hope is a mobile laundromat created to bring a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos of a natural disaster by offering communities access to clean clothing. Since its creation, Tide Loads of Hope has helped more than 45,000 affected families across the country.

In addition to providing a place to get your clothes clean following a crisis, Tide Loads of Hope has now expanded their efforts to get even more people involved with its mobile clothing drive, "Driving for Hope," that is stopping in select cities across the country to collect, renew and donate clothing to those looking for a fresh start. After all, something as simple as a clean shirt can bring hope, especially in times of chaos.

You have a chance to help too! Tide is bringing the Loads of Hope Truck to Nashville and will be collecting used or lightly worn clothing. All clothing collected will be renewed with Tide and donated to theΒ Nashville Rescue Mission, helping to provide a sense of normalcy and hope for those experiencing hardship.

You can drop off clothing at the Walmart located at 7044 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209 on Friday, August 18 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Country singer, designer, and reality star Jessie James Decker will also be there between 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to help contribute to the cause.

If you can't come donate, you can find out more and support Tide Loads of Hope by visiting tideloadsofhope.com and donating directly or purchasing a t-shirt, where $4 from each sale will go towards helping families affected by disaster.
