Yay or Nay? - Going Out on Valentine's Day

By Crystal Hoffman, Murfreesboro Macaroni Kid February 10, 2020

Before kids, my husband and I used to go out at least a few times a week.  I mean, what else were we going to do with all our free time?  When Valentine’s Day rolled around, we didn’t feel like it was a big deal to “go out” on a romantic date night.  Instead, we would find an abstract recipe, spend time cooking up some delicacies and then laugh at how horribly they turned out when we were finished.

Now, nine years and four children later, I realize that pretending to be Giada or Wolfgang Puck is not a realistic date night for a variety of reasons.  I still love the idea of being able to spend some one on one time with my hubby on Valentine’s Day, but have not the slightest clue what we could do.

I want to hear what you and your significant other do for Valentine’s day!  Do you go out and brave the restaurant scene?  Maybe you stay at home and do something special together?Or do you do absolutely nothing because you think Valentine’s Day is a scam?
