What day is it? Are we still in 2020? When was the last time the kids got a bath? When was the last time I washed my hair? Did I feed the cat? Did I feed the baby?
Okay, so some of these I clearly did not forget... but I am guilty on some of them. I'm sure you may have had a day or two where you forgot something sort of important simply because each day seems to run together with the next.
Life has been challenging lately and publishing is no exception. In fact, I have sat down at my computer with full intentions of writing pertinent articles and finding some relevant virtual events for you guys for hours on end and came up completely blank. No joke.
I tell you this because I am asking that you hang in there with me! I want to stay active in this venture as long as I am able. Simply put, there just aren't enough activities or events happening yet to keep my calender full and engaging. But I will put them out there as soon as they start happening.
Now, for some specific updates...
- Birthday Club: While I am still posting monthly birthday shoutouts, we are pausing any kind of giveaways for the Birthday Club winners. Our sponsors are not quite ready to get back into business and we respect that. So until then, we'll keep posting the shout-outs.
- Contests and giveaways: I LOVE giving things to you guys, I really do!! But you HAVE to engage for those prizes to get into your hands! Please, follow the easy steps and deadlines so you can win ALL the prizes! :D
- Local events and venues: When we start getting the green light to participate in the community again, I will be sure to update the calendar with events for everyone. While some events may still show up on the calendar, please be cognizant of social distancing, restrictions and altered business hours. None of these things are in my control but I will share what information I have with you!
